To run the BlackBerry® Desktop Software v.3.6 Service Pack 1, you’ll need the following:
- An Internet/email-enabled computer with an Intel® 486 or higher processor
- One available USB or serial port
- The Microsoft ® Windows ® operating system in one of these versions:
- With a USB port: Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP
- With a serial port: Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 6 or higher
- Microsoft Outlook ® 98, 2000, XP (Corporate or Workgroup Installation) or Lotus Notes ® 4.6, 5.0, 6.0 (for enterprise email integration)
- Email account on a Microsoft Exchange Server version 5.5, 2000 or IBM® Lotus ® Domino® Server version 4.6, 5.0 (for enterprise email integration)

Note: BlackBerry Desktop Software v3.6 works with RIM 850™, RIM 857™, RIM 950™, RIM 957™, BlackBerry 5800 Series, BlackBerry 6700 Series, BlackBerry 6200 Series and Black6Berry 7200 Series. Check with your service provider for the software version you should use with your handheld.
